OUR PEOPLE

Founded by entrepreneur Martin Lloyd-Penny in 2005 matureaccountants.com has been an outstanding success story. Geoff Bail has worked alongside Martin during this time and is responsible for the technical infrastructure that has been so important to this success.

MatureIT, set up by managing director Wilf Deakin in 2008, follows the same principles. This ensures that customers get best value from the full-time and interim IT personnel supplied by MatureIT.

Wilf has been a programmer, analyst, IT manager, consultant, director and CEO with both end user companies and IT consultancy/service organisations. He has extensive knowledge of most aspects of IT and the experience to use this knowledge for the benefit of customers. He has run projects ranging in size from one man IT health checks to £multi million major transformation programmes, with multiple platforms and multi vendor software, managing over 300 people from many different disciplines.

He has worked in retail & wholesale finance, telecommunications, utilities, retail, distribution, manufacturing industries, media and federal & local government in the UK, USA, Netherlands, Belgium, Nordic countries, Switzerland and France. Companies he has worked with have ranged from SME's to major multinationals.

Press Release: Hidden Mid Career Unemployment

Richard Fuller, Conservative parliamentary candidate for Bedford and Kempston launched a campaign to raise awareness of the issue of mid-career redundancies and warned of the high levels of hidden unemployment in the town. Meeting with Wilf Deakin, the Managing Director of MatureIT, Richard Fuller said �I have been struck by the number of people I have met around our town who have been made redundant over the past few months, many of them in the middle of their careers. They face daunting challenges of continuing to pay their bills and mortgages while looking for work in these most difficult economic times.� �Often the official statistics do not capture these people, but their pain and frustration is significant and growing.� Wilf Deakin added �People who are made redundant in the middle of their careers � in their 40s and 50s � often find themselves shut out of job opportunities. The country is losing an enormous pool of talent and experience; experience it needs to cope with this recession.
